Advanced document viewer
Replace heavy and cumbersome printed documents, service manuals and technical documentation with a thin, lightweight and easy to read document viewer. The equivalent of 10,000 A4 pages can be stored, with or without security enabled, on the supplied 2GB micro-SD™ card.
Easy-to-read e-paper display
The large e-paper display offers a reading experience almost identical to traditionally printed pages, and this new technology is so advanced that no power is needed to keep the image displayed – as there is no backlight used (as found in traditional displays). This gives the SV-100B the ability to display 5,000 pages before recharging is required. With a resolution twice the dpi of normal LCD displays and a high contrast ratio between black and white, this all makes the SV-100B easy to read for many hours at a time.
Document navigation
Located on the bottom right hand side of the SV-100B are two large navigation buttons - naturally placed where your thumb rests on the unit. Simply press these buttons to go forward/backwards a page, or hold down to skip 10 pages at a time. For quick and easy access to frequently viewed pages you can add bookmarks throughout your document, and quickly navigate forwards or backwards through the document using these bookmarks.
Zoom into your documents
Despite having a high resolution display, there may be times when you need to see fine detail in your document which you can easily do by pressing the dedicated zoom button. Your document is then rotated and zoomed in to the height of the display - and you can then use the navigation buttons to scroll up and down through the page(s).
Direct scan
You can also scan hard copy documents direct to the SV-100B from any Brother machine that supports the Direct USB interface. Simply connect the SV-100B to the USB port located on the Brother MFC/DCP with the supplied USB cable and scan directly to the document viewer
Create files quickly and securely
By using the supplied SV-Manager software, all popular file formats including Adobe® PDF and Microsoft® Office documents can be converted and viewed on the SV-100B. Simply open the file you want to convert, click Print and select the SV-100B printer driver. The file is then sent to the SV-Manager software ready for synchronisation to the SV-100B. Alternatively, a collection of files can be simply dropped into the SV-Manager software where they will be automatically converted and synchronised with the SV-100B.
Securely store confidential/classified documents
Two memory areas are available for your documents - a standard area where documents can simply be opened when required, and a secure area requiring a 4 digit pin number to access the document. Additionally, when placed in the secure area, your file is encrypted using 128 bit AES, a highly secure encryption standard that prevents the documents being read on any other device.
